Once Upon a Time in the West

It was an amazing experience to make this video of our guitar harmonica cover of Once Upon a Time in the West in Henrixcity in a small town in Hungary with Misi Horváth. It felt like we were at the Wild West. 🙂 I don’t know why I forgot to post it last year, but now here you are!

Easy classical guitar studies

In the past few months I had problems with my hands, I couldn’t even practice for more than six weeks. Two weeks ago the doctor said that I can start practicing again, but I shouldn’t play difficult pieces. Now I’m happy that I’m able to play these nice and simple classical studies that I have recently been working on with my students, I hope that you will enjoy them. 🙂 If you are interested in having Skype lessons with me, don’t hesitate to send an email to onlineclassicalguitar@gmail.com.

Tango on the other side of the world

I’m very happy that Luciano Marazzo wrote an article about our new Piazzolla video in his music blog http://www.onlinemusicguild.com. Thanks for sharing our video! 😊

“Listening to Anikó playing music from my country was a wonderful experience this morning. The truth is that this was also a wonderful surprise. Anikó and I met via Instagran and my immediate reaction when I heard her selection to feature in the blog was a bit of that emotional bittersweet sensation that Tango leaves in your throat. I know that Anikó had no idea that I am from Argentina and this made her request even more magical! Those are the coincidences that I cherish. They remind me that music has no boundaries and no matter where we are or who we are, we have infinite opportunities around us and we are all in the same boat playing the same game. Ironically, this Piazzolla piece, Oblivion, has all those feelings and more written into the music. I am happy to introduce you to this
guitar player playing some music that will caress your soul..”

Sakura variations

This piece is a variation on the famous Japanese folksong, Sakura, sakura. I have planned to make this video for more than a year, but last year I did’nt have time for it, when the cherry trees were blooming, but finally it’s ready.

Cherry blossoms, cherry blossoms,
In fields, mountains and villages
As far as the eye can see.
Is it mist, or clouds?
Fragrant in the morning sun.
Cherry blossoms, cherry blossoms,
Flowers in full bloom.

Cherry blossoms, cherry blossoms,
Across the spring sky,
As far as the eye can see.
Is it mist, or clouds?
Fragrant in the air.
Come now, come now,
Let’s go and see them!
